I've always thought the best thing about the Opera House (apart from the design itself) was the location. Being right there on the harbour, with the Botanical Gardens behind it - you can wander around and nearly forget you're in a city of five million or so people. When we were there, the Botanical Gardens had a display of orchids and other flowers that attract pollinating insects by using pheremones, in the big garden bed outside the glasshouse pyramid they had 'Sex + Death' spelled out in plants which was not quite what I was expecting to see in the middle of a garden in the city :)

Yeah you are spot on. I got a chance to wander in the sun over the weekend and it was really lovely! Hopefully it'll stop raining and I'll be able to do it again. I do want to check out the Botanic gardens too.
